Our Mission 🌟

Space Cadet Collective is a neurodivergent-led community illuminating the complex relationships between neurodiversity, trauma, substance use, and healing journeys. We create a safe harbor for those navigating these intersecting experiences, gathering wisdom from our diverse perspectives to build resources, foster understanding, and advocate for compassionate approaches to recovery and support.

Together, we're reimagining a world where neurodivergent experiences are valued, substance use is understood as a response to underlying needs, and every space cadet discovers they've been an astronaut all along.

Our Story

Space Cadet Collective began with two autistic minds—a mother and son—navigating the universe together without a map. As founder Mars raised her son from age 16, they created their own mission control: a home where stimming was normal, special interests celebrated, and sensory needs respected.

Drawing from these experiences, Mars launched Space Cadet Collective to create the safe harbor she and her son built for each other—extending it to all who've felt like they're orbiting a different planet, especially those navigating the complex intersections of neurodivergence, trauma, and substance use.
